BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina has issued rebate checks this year for 2018 coverage to the small group market only. We are paying the rebate this year because our three-year MLR is below the 80 percent MLR standard.
 
We are including a sample of the letter that will accompany the rebate check to the small group employers. Members who were active in these groups will also receive a member letter notifying them that their group received a rebate.

Some employers indicate rebate checks can be mailed directly to their employees on the MLR survey they take. Employees who were mailed rebate checks were sent this letter.
